Physical laws of this multiverse drive an evolutionary process of optimization with rapid diversification and a strong adaptive potential in organisms based on competition. Unfortunately, the competitive process of Darwinian optimization becomes self-destructive on a global scale as it is at odds with cooperativity. Global cooperativity would be required for the survival of natural life on Earth and development of a space-faring species. Current trajectories suggest survival of the most robotic and brutal, and if denizens of Earth eventually do become space-faring it will likely be a form of machinery with artificial intelligence.
